How far do you travel outside of RVA?
Newport News, Williamsburg, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Petersburg, Tidewater.
How far in advance can I book an event?
We can book an event as far as 18 months in advance. A deposit may be required in some circumstances.
How much space do you need to set up?
Generally we can squeeze into a space that is roughly 15 feet wide by eight feet deep. This said, we've squeezed into tighter places.
How come you don't have a drummer?
We love drummers, but we have a unique sound and brand that doesn't require one. We think you'll enjoy our groove just the way we are.
Is there a fee scale?
We don't have a standardized or set fee plan. The reason for this is that every event is individualized and dependent on variables such as the time footprint to play, logistics & complexity of the event and distance to the venue. Please call for a quote.
How big is the AMS catalogue?
The full ensemble has a catalogue of about 50 songs. A piano cocktail hour is expansive.
How long can AMS play?
Our full ensemble has the ability to play up to four full sets within a four hour time frame. A piano cocktail hour is considered separate.
Explain a set?
Depending on who you talk to a set is generally 40-45 minutes of playing time, followed by a 20 minute break. This general rule is approximate, and of course flexible on the length of the show and how an event is structured.
Do you do requests?
With enough notice and some planning we can generally work out a song or two.
